Description
Virtual museum with interactive exhibits documenting the legacy of Paul & Betty Keene, the history of Walnut Acres Organic Farm, and the growth of the Organic Foods Movement.

Walnut Acres was an organic farm located in the town of Penns Creek, Pennsylvania that is considered to be one of America’s original organic farms. Founded in 1946, Walnut Acres helped begin the organic agriculture movement in the US. Digital media has presented the Walnut Acres Foundation legacy organization with a unique opportunity to catalog their history via online exhibits on their website.

Students at Bucknell University, sponsored by the Place Studies Program, created digital exhibits documenting the legacy of Paul & Betty Keene, the history of Walnut Acres Organic Farm, and the growth of the Organic Foods Movement, including a timeline, pageable books, and narrative pages using archival photos and documents.
