Dear Mother,  Dad + Grandma --

I mailed a box home today I hope you receive it before I arrive for I need the shirts, etc. that I enclosed in it. I also enclosed some laundry, letters, etc.

There's not much new. I signed my discharge yesterday. That's one paper that looks pretty good. I also got myself finger printed, etc. I signed up for 2 $ 25 war bonds a month and put Dad in as co-owner. They'll be mailed home to you too, Dad.

My uniform has not yet arrived -- but I have everything else in order and all set to leave here right after graduation. I think the glad rags will certainly be in by Wednesday.

As yet we have not been given our assignments. so I guess you shall have to wait til you see me to hear the final news. Just now there is nothing more to tell than I included in my Wednesday letter.

I'm to be Battery  Commanders on RSOP 12, our all night manenver, so I shall have another big worry until it is over. Thank goodness that's the last event in our class work. We have already had our last exam -- and I'm sure I've passed all of them.

I hope my plane stops for me at Okla City. If it does I'll see you sometime Friday. If it doesn't, I won't be home until Saturday. I'll wire if I don't make the plane. And I'll phone when I get to Harrisburg so you'll know when to meet me. I went into town last night, had a good meal, and finished my shopping. Today I went into town again to mail the package, get another meal, and see a movie. Tonight I must get some sleep, for I have a hard week ahead.

Until Friday, John
