Feb 9,1943 Dear Mother + Dad

I'm afraid I shant have time to write a full letter this week -- and there is nothing new any way I've received your box and passed the gift on to Young. He apperciated it a lot. I also received a box from the Groover's -- and then forget to thank Alice for it when I wrote earlier this evening. I'll have to remember this week-end when I write again. I did want to write though to let you know that I haven't forgotten St. Valentines day. I count myself exceptionally lucky to have such wonderful parents -- and I don't want to miss a good opportunity to let them know.
