"[Isa Lake] is on the crest of the Continental Divide. Its waters are shallow, and the road has been built through the lake. The water on one side flows into the Pacific Ocean, and from the other side into the Atlantic. Between Old Faithful and West Thumb on Yellowstone Lake the road twice crosses the Continental Divide -- a most interesting trip, which keeps the traveler constantly on the alert."
