Description
"All over this crater, which is filled with clay, of the consistency of paint, jets of steam find their way to the surface, keeping the mass constantly bubbling, the "plop plop" of which can be plainly heard. The coloring is of mineral origin, the clay having been formed by the alteration of the volcanic rock during a long period of time."
