Jawaharlal Nehru and other politicians visit Sevagram Ashram. Jawaharlal Nehru later became the first Prime Minister of independent India. Although Nehru never wanted to live at Sevagram Ashram, he and other Indian politicians frequently visited to consult with Gandhi and collaborate with the community members in nonviolent civil disobedience campaigns.
