Description
"The lake has a shoreline of 100 miles and an area of 139 sqaure miles. Its water which comes principally from the Absaroka Range, is so cold that practically no one attempts to swim in it, even in the middle of the summer. Trout, however, thrive here and in its many tributaries, as well as in the yellowstone River, which enters the lake at the south end, leaving it at the north end. At the outlet is the "Fishing Bridge" which is so popular with fisherman that one has difficulty in driving across it at times."
