"[Old Faithful] has a maximum height of 150 Ft. It plays 4 minutes at intervals varying from 65 to 80 minutes. On still days the steam rises from this geyser to a height of several hundred feet, and can be seen for many miles. Old Faithful Geyser, like the others, never plays twice alike, and if you see a dozen eruptions of this geyser you will be fascinated by each one, and will not grow tired as the variations are remarkable. Even those people who are connected with the Park and can see this geyser every day, pronounce it "Best of All".
