            <dateline><date when="1862-01-21">Tuesday 21st</date></dateline>
            <p>This was a still <name type="Weather">warmer day than yesterday</name>. There was <name type="Weather">no winter</name> in it. We were
               again put on to the <objectName type="vehicle">Patuxent</objectName>, and with hope [?] we moved off a considerable way into
               the channel, but stuck just near where the <objectName type="vehicle">Pioneer</objectName>, which has part of the <orgName type="company">N.Y. 51st</orgName>
               on, was fast. <origPlace type="Ship">The <objectName>Union</objectName></origPlace> and a black little <objectName type="equipment">gunboat</objectName> were at her, and directly we saw
               her move, cheered her, and away she went into the channel, up into the sound. She
               is in anyhow, and if we but get past this wave, we will go in too. The little
               <objectName type="vehicle">Patuxent </objectName>tugs away, <objectName type="vehicle">the Eagle</objectName> comes to help us - but, it is now twelve o'clock,
               the <objectName type="nature">water</objectName> is low, but we are in the best of spirits that this evening we will go over,
               or tomorrow at farthest. The <objectName type="vehicle">schooner</objectName> on which the signal corps sailed has not
               been heard from yet. <persName>Beaver </persName>feels rather good that he got sailing with us. Some
               one that counted says that there are 110 <objectName type="vehicle">vessels</objectName> in here. We got back to the
               <objectName type="vehicle">Cossack </objectName>in time for dinner.</p>
