Camp Union near Annapolis Md December Thursday 26, 1861
We had Regimental inspection today - Col Sweitzer, aide of McClellan inspected our arms - he caught us in a bad condition after our Christmas and hey day. We all received our new coats to day. Bill Schaffley from Lewisburg came into camp to-day, from Lewisburg. He induced Frank Beale to resign his second lieutenancy. Sgt I think will succeed him.
