THIS issue of the Bucknell University Studies marks the inauguration of an attempt to provide a means for the publication of the resutls of research or scholarly work of any kind by members of the faculty of Bucknell University and the Bucknell University Junior College at Wilkes-Barre. It is the hope of the editors and of the group of instructors who sponsor the undertaking that the publication may perform a real service.
Both Bucknell University and the editors of the Bucknell University Studies disclaim any responsibility for statements of fact or opinion found in papers published in the Studies.
