Description

"American Red Cross War Fund" encourages American youth to contribute to the Junior Red Cross which was the part of the American Red Cross that gave money to the War Fund. The artist, James Flagg, was appointed the military artist for the State of New York during World War I, and retained this position at the onset of the United States' involvement in World War II. Flagg contributed 46 posters to the US Government's propaganda campaign.
