Gaulen</persName> came up in a <objectName type="vehicle">boat</objectName>, and as they told me there was nothing to be done in camp, and as my luxurious quarters last night gave me a cold, I concluded to stay. I acted as guide, and took them to see what remained of <persName>Gov. Lyon’s</persName> palace, the <placeName>cemetery</placeName>, and the car house. Then we went into a French bootmaker’s. <persName key="Lt. Reno’s quarters — a white house, nicely furnished.
