Letter from Gandhi to Count Leo Tolstoy, April 1910. Gandhi and Tolstoy exchanged a series of letters with one another in 1909-1910. Gandhi and Hermann Kallenbach, the co-founders of Tolstoy Farm, were both inspired by Tolstoy's writings and his commitment to nonviolence, and they named their intentional community after Count Leo Tolstoy.
