Description

A young American pilot is strapping himself in the cockpit of his plane. There are six visible Japanese flag "stickers" on the side of his plane representing the Japanese planes the pilot has shot down. The artist, Georges Schreiber was born in Belgium in 1904 and moved to New York in 1928. He was a painter and lithographer. He was commissioned by the US Navy during the Second World War to create paintings to be used as posters.
