This is the final draft of the "Quit India" anticolonial campaign. The first draft was written by Gandhi; the second draft was edited by the members of the Congress Working Committee, who had all gathered at Sevagram Ashram in the summer of 1942; this final draft was then edited and passed by a vote of the All India Congress Committee at a meeting in Bombay (Mumbai) on August 8, 1942.
