Description
Sarvodaya House in the 1940s. By the 1940s, a third generation of the Gandhi family was living in Sarvodaya House. Manilal Gandhi was Gandhi's second-eldest son. The children of Manilal and his wife Sushila were all raised at Phoenix Settlement and lived in Sarvodaya House: Sita Gandhi (b. 1928), Arun Gandhi (b. 1934), and Ela Gandhi (b. 1940).
