					<salute>Dear Grandma, Aunt Stella, &amp; Uncle Elmer.</salute>
				</opener>
				<p> Well I finished my 1st week of Center School without any trouble.  I've had "S"
					on all the tests - S and U are  the only two grades. "S" for satisfactory and U
					for unsatisfactory.  But next week and the two following it are still ahead and
					plenty tough. This is much worse than Law School -- mainly because they try to
					cram so much into such a short period. </p>
				<p> When I finish in three weeks -- unless I have to repeat -- I may be able to get
					a 3 day pass and get home for 24hrs or so.   On the other hand I
					many be shipped immediately to Fort Sill. In which case I won't be home before
					the end of March or the beginning of April. Since Mother &amp; Dad were here --
					it really doesn't matter much which way it turns out -- for very few of my
					friends are in Lewisburg anymore anyway - and I'd much rather go home with that
					gold bar on my shoulder. </p>
				<p> Incidently, when I leave here, I go as a Corporal. So I'm due for a pay boost in
					another three weeks. </p>
				<p> It was good to be with Mother + Dad  last week-end. I suppose you've heard all
					about it by now. I only wish I could have seen all of you folks too. I'll be
					thinking of you all this Thursday and wishing we could be together for the day. </p>

					<salute>Yours,</salute><lb/>
